Wedding days are SO full of love and emotion. Not only between the bride and groom, but friends and family as well. It was so obvious how much Whitney and Tyler were loved. Their bridesmaids, groomsmen, family, and friends all gathered around them showering them with love and support.
At this particular wedding- I was a second shooter for one of my very best friends, Amy Reed of Amy Wallen Photography. One of my jobs for the day was to photograph the groom and groomsmen getting ready while Amy spent a good portion of the morning with the bride and bridesmaids allowing us to get maximum coverage of the day. The bride and her girls got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn, while the groomsmen were getting ready at the venue- Green Meadows Country Club (Pikeville, KY). Amy and I got some shots of the girls together, some of the details, and then I made my way to the venue to meet the guys and spend some time with them getting ready while she finished the bridals.
What a fun bunch! Tyler and the guys kept me laughing all morning and they were such good sports about being out in the cold to get some formals.
The ceremony and reception were absolutely beautiful. Both in the decor and the events. I was blown away to find out that Whitney had designed and put together the floral and decoration (with the help of friends and family of course!) on her own! As you'll see, it was absolutely breathtaking.
I was blinking back tears as the father of the bride made his toast. With the warmest welcome of Tyler into their family, he also offered wine from his very own wedding with the mother of the bride, to the new couple and family. Such a special moment, and I know they will cherish the events of this day for the rest of their lives! I certainly left with a full heart.
